The LAMEEKEEP™ Modular Flood Barrier System is designed to provide a high quality, well engineered
and heavy duty, flood protection product that can be rapidly deployed and consists of a permanently installed stainless steel wet-sump
enclosure with hinged horizontal top panels secured against unauthorised access with a dust-resistant locking device, the sump enclosure
housing a high-performance epdm membrane fitted with watertight side zips, with hi-tech bonded and double-sewn joints for long-term
security, which can be quickly deployed when the barrier is activated and being clamped and sealed to the lower edge of the casing,
the open barrier panels being pressed against vertical edge seals located in lockable cassettes, the cassettes providing protection
against damage and/or interference with the seals when not in the active position, the barrier panels having a specially developed
and independently tested and certified non-slip pattern, using
LAMEEKAM™ art metal technology, the pattern being in the form of a
company logo, or other distinctive device or customised graphic, either as a raised pattern (appliqué) or as an imprinted pattern
(reversé), the patterns being available in a standard grey RAL 7005 and a wide range of alternative colours, the system being available
for a range of flood exclusion depths subject always to verification of the stability and structural strength of the surrounding
building construction and of the ability of the structure to resist the hydraulic pressure from floodwater, with three standard
flood exclusion depths of 500 mm, 700 mm and 900 mm and custom assemblies for barriers exceeding 900 mm subject to special design
verification, it being recommended that, when structures are checked for stability, the survey should include identification of
secondary paths for the potential ingress of floodwater including, but not exclusively, side and rear doors, air-bricks, drains,
structural cracks, unrendered and porous walls, and floor constructions, the installed barrier in conjunction with measures to
prevent ingress by secondary paths being intended to exclude contaminated floodwater and debris and to limit seepage through the
barrier to a zero target and at worst a flowrate not exceeding 5-10 litres/hour, being a seepage rate which can be controlled by manual means.
